What types of alerts does XingAI support?

XingAI supports four alert types: (1) Price Alert — notifies when a symbol crosses a target price; (2) Streak Alert — triggers after a stock moves up or down for a set number of consecutive days; (3) Market Stress Alert — fires when the macro stress index crosses a threshold you choose; (4) Signal Strength Alert — triggers when the AI engine consensus buy signal for a symbol exceeds a percentage threshold.

How does XingAI evaluate alert conditions?

All alert logic runs exclusively in the XingAI background worker (ADR-012). The worker fetches live quotes, updates streak counters, reads the macro radar stress index, and checks each user's alert targets. FastAPI and the frontend never evaluate conditions — they only read the cached decision output. This design ensures consistent, reproducible alert behaviour.

How do I set up a streak alert?

Click 'Add Alert', select 'Streak Alert', enter a stock symbol (e.g. AAPL), choose the direction (up or down), and set the number of consecutive days. The XingAI worker tracks daily price changes and fires the alert once the streak length reaches your target.

What is the Market Stress Alert?

The Market Stress Alert uses the XingAI macro radar stress index (0–100). You set a threshold and direction (above or below). When the stress index crosses that level, you receive an alert. A higher index means more market stress. This replaces an external Fear & Greed feed with XingAI's own deterministic calculation.

Will I get duplicate alerts?

Accepted Answer

No. XingAI deduplicates alerts with a 24-hour window per alert ID per day. Once an alert fires, it will not fire again until the next calendar day even if the condition remains true.
