Why do I own TSM?
EP11 · TSM — TSMC: the world's chip supplier
In production · coming soon in this series
The short answer
I own TSM because advanced semiconductors basically come from one supplier: TSMC. The world's most demanding chips are made there, and it has grown steadily for years, which is why I keep investing in it. My personal judgment: if I could hold only one chip stock for the long run, it might be this one — ahead of even Nvidia.

My read of this industry is simple: advanced semiconductors basically come from one supplier — TSMC. The most demanding chips in the world are made there, and the company has grown steadily for years, which is why we have kept investing in it.
And my personal judgment, stated as mine alone: if I could hold only one semiconductor stock for the long run, it might be this one — ahead of even Nvidia. The whole industry's road map runs through its fabs. That is the conviction — a view, not a verdict.
In one line: basically the world's chip supplier — years of steady growth; if I held only one chip stock for the long run, it might be this one, ahead of even Nvidia.

Research and education only. This series is one small investor's personal holding notes — why he bought, in his own words. It is not investment advice, not a recommendation, and not a promise of returns.
