Why do I own AMZN?
EP02 · AMZN — Amazon: the groceries convinced me
Published October 18, 2026 · bilingual episode (@axingstocks / @xingaiinvest)
The short answer
I own AMZN because my household runs on it. Every day the groceries come from Amazon — ordered on the phone, delivered to the door the same day or the next through Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods. And at work, AWS is part of the daily toolkit too. Two routines, one company underneath both.
The full note
Every day, the groceries come from Amazon. The fridge runs low, we order on the phone, and the food arrives at the door — the same day or the next — through Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods. A chore that used to need its own trip, its own hour, its own headspace has quietly disappeared from the weekly schedule.
Apply the series test: if it vanished tomorrow, grocery runs, restocking trips and the whole household buying routine would all need rebuilding. That is what irreplaceable means in practice — not a slogan, a routine. Millions of households run the same routine, and a business people cannot leave is a business that lasts.
And there is a second pillar, at work: AWS is part of the daily toolkit too. The groceries convinced the household; the cloud convinced the workday. Two different routines, the same company underneath both.
In one line: we did not buy a ticker; we bought the service our household runs on — and the cloud our work runs on.

Is it just the groceries?
No. The groceries convinced the household; AWS convinced the workday. Amazon Fresh and Whole Foods run the home routine, and AWS is part of the daily work toolkit too — two different routines, the same company underneath both.
