Why do I own TSLA?
EP01 · TSLA — Tesla: science fiction, now on pickup duty
Published October 16, 2026 · bilingual episode (@axingstocks / @xingaiinvest)
The short answer
I own TSLA because I drive a Tesla every day, and it still does something that felt like science fiction: I stand in a parking lot, ask the car to come to me, and it drives over and stops in front of me. A product woven that deep into daily life is hard to imagine replacing — so the holding follows the usage.
The full note
Start with the car. We drive a Tesla every day, and the feature that still feels like science fiction is the simplest one: standing in a parking lot, you ask the car to come to you — and it drives itself over and stops in front of you. Smart Summon turned “the car picks me up” from a movie scene into an ordinary Tuesday.
That daily routine is the research. No report told us to hold this stock; using the product did. When a machine you rely on every day keeps doing something that felt impossible five years ago, you stop seeing a ticker symbol and start seeing a part of your life — and parting with it gets hard to imagine. The feeling has a name in this series: irreplaceable.
The holding has two legs: TSLA itself, and TSLL, the 2x daily-reset version, kept as the aggressive satellite of the same conviction. The October 16 episode walks the pair through a rough day — TSLA down 2.13%, TSLL down 4.40%, a touch more than the theoretical 2x — and explains what that daily-reset cost really is, and why we still hold both. The same day's full portfolio note is linked below.
In one line: we hold it because we use it — every day, it comes and picks us up.

Why do I own TSLA?
I own TSLA because I drive a Tesla every day, and it still does something that felt like science fiction: I stand in a parking lot, ask the car to come to me, and it drives over and stops in front of me. A product woven that deep into daily life is hard to imagine replacing — so the holding follows the usage.
Why do I also hold TSLL, the 2x version?
TSLL is the 2x daily-reset satellite of the same conviction. On October 16, 2026, TSLA closed down 2.13% and TSLL down 4.40% — a touch more than the theoretical 2x, which is the daily-reset cost. The episode note walks through that math, and why I still hold both.
Research and education only. This series is one small investor's personal holding notes — why he bought, in his own words. It is not investment advice, not a recommendation, and not a promise of returns. Holdings change, prices fall, and a product one household cannot replace can still be a bad investment at the wrong price. Read the full disclaimer before acting on anything here.
